Sense of Contact 15 – Sensors across the application domains

The scope of the 15th edition is to show how sensor-technology development in one application domain can also be applied in another application domain. Sense of Contact provides an overview of the latest developments in sensor technology both, from academic and from industrial point of view.

Crime Scene Investigation on a historical murder is highlighted in one of the lectures during Sense of Contact 15. Advanced forensic methods, such as 3D laserscan technology, firing tests and tracing evidence at the crime scene, complemented with research on historical buildings and historical sources provide answers to up to now unanswered questions about the first political assassination in history with a handgun.

Measure aerosols with your smartphone is another innovative tool what is presented during Sense of Contact 15. iSPEX is an innovative way to measure aerosols. Click an add-on on a iPhone to change this everyday tool into a scientific instrument. This instrument measures properties of small particles in the sky: aerosols.

Besides lectures you have the chance to be actively involved during three debate sessions. The debates, where science meets industry, will focus on sensors and food safety, sensors and underwater surveillance and sensors and Human-centered Haptic devices.

Are you a researcher? You are invited to another active involvement during Sense of Contact 15. Researchers can present their research during poster sessions. All results from sensor-research can be submitted. The best poster presenter will be awarded with € 250.
